One Bicycle Riders Opinion on Carbon frames vs. Stainless Steel Frames

Appreciate the help Doug…. As for the ride, I have a Stevens Carbon fiber bike and a KVA Stainless Fillet Brazed bike. I’ll put roughly 1500 miles on each bike this year. The carbon tends to be less forgiving in the saddle. The KVA seems to dampen a bit more. On the stiffness side no complaints on out of the saddle sprints with the KVA stainless. On older frames I can get the rear pads to rub the rim when sprinting but the KVA bike doesn’t do this. I have used the bike multiple times in NCNCA crits and road races. The comparison is pretty close as I have the same saddle and components on both bikes… Long term, steel is the right choice.
